Bernard Mendy - staying put
Former Bolton Wanderers loanee Bernard Mendy is set to end speculation regarding his future by signing a new three-year deal with Paris Saint Germain.

The 22-year old Frenchman had been linked with a return to England as both Premiership rivals Liverpool and Middlesbrough looked set to prepare bids for the attacking wing back who recently won his first international cap towards the end of last season and it seems he is set to stay at Parc Des Princes.

Mendy made a total of 23 appearances for Bolton in the 2002-2003 season as the Trotters successfully escaped relegation on the final day of the season, ironically due to a win gained over Middlesbrough which was to send rivals West Ham United down to the Nationwide League on 44 points.
