Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has decided to take an extended look at Croatian Marijan Kovacevic after the 30-year old central defender impressed the coaching staff whilst on trial at the club this week.
Free Agent Kovacevic, an experienced international who has played in the Bundesliga with the likes of MSV Duisburg and Wolfsburg arrived at the club following an injury to Florent Laville last weekend and will be hoping to earn a contract at the Reebok Stadium. The player also had a similar spell on trial at Brighton and Hove Albion last summer but failed to earn a deal for Steve Coppell's side.
However the club has decided not to persue their interest in former Fenerbache Atalanta and Juventus defender Zoran Mirkovic after it was decided that the 32-year old Serbian and Montenegro international was not what the club was looking for.
