Freescoring 30-year old Jardel, who has hit over 300 goals in 300 games prior to his move to the Reebok Stadium from Sporting Lisbon has had a tough year both on and off the pitch but former Real Madrid ace Campo has backed his new team mate to find his scoring boots again.
"Mario has had a tough time of it recently and it's down to all of us to help him settle here." Campo said
"It's fair to say he's not 100 per cent physically fit yet but, over the next two or three weeks, we'll see the real Jardel come out.
"There is a lot to enjoy from Jardel in the future."
