Bolton Wanderers will not be renewing their interest in the mystery Nigerian trialist known as Sammi after the bustling centre forward played in the recent friendly matches against Oldham Athletic and Chesterfield.
Lanky striker Sammi caused quite a stir at Boundary Park in midweek when he laid out Oldham's South African international defender Mark Arber forcing the former Barnet player to recieve extensive treatment. No one could really identify him, even Assistant Manager Phil Brown was mystified as to the players background, all that was revealed about the Nigerian was that he was a friend of the Wanderers captain Jay-Jay Okocha.
The lanky forward will now begin a trial spell with League Two side Grimsby Town in an attempt to earn a contract having recently left a spell in the German Third Division.
