David Ngog is set to join Bolton from Liverpool in the next 24 hours for a fee in the region of ?4 million.
The French striker has been a top target of Trotters boss Owen Coyle all summer after being told by Reds boss Kenny Dalglish he can move on. The 22-year-old has not featured for Liverpool so far this season and should join Bolton after a fee, said to be in the region of ?4million, was agreed in principle by the two clubs.
Ngog was signed by Rafa Benitez in 2008 but has failed to nail down a regular starting role at Anfield, making 94 appearances and scoring 19 goals in three years. Coyle is desperate to add some firepower to his Bolton squad and views the youngster as the perfect man to offer assistance to Ivan Klasnic and Kevin Davies up front.
