Allardyce said: "Kevin has led the team with passion and professionalism.
"Each week he gives you everything and he has the ability to be a top player for years to come.
"One of his main attributes is his ability to score goals on a regular basis.
"If he continues to progress he will go close to earning a seat on the plane to Germany in June."
Nolan is playing down the situation knowing that England have an abundance of talent in midfield and is now even considering playing for neighbours Ireland.
"I've never had the chance to pick either England or Ireland because I have never been selected," he said.
"But Ireland is something I really have to consider."
