Oldham Extend Johnson Loan Deal

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Jermaine Johnson has had his loan spell with Second Division neighbours Oldham Athletic extended by a further month.

The 23-year old Jamaican international was on target for the Latics during the weekend 4-1 defeat by Rushden & Diamonds and caretaker-manager John Sheridan, once of Bolton, was keen to keep the former Tivoli Gardens player at Boundary Park for an extended spell.

“I’m glad we can keep Jermaine for a bit longer because he’s a player with great talent. It was a very good finish for his goal on Saturday and he has that ability to change a game.” Sheridan said.

Further good news for the Latics is that the player will not miss any matches due to international commitments despite being named in the Jamaica squad for the game against Uruguay in Kingston next month.
