Bolton keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen admits that his recent omission from the first team came as a bit of a shock to him.
The Finnish stopper was rested for the New Year's day game with West Bromwich Albion after Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce had decided that the 29-year old was in need of a break.
However Jaaskelainen says that he has no gripe with his manager following the decision and is happy to have resumed his place in the Bolton team for the midweek win over Birmingham City.
"You never know what will happen in football, I just have to accept the manager's decision and go from there. It's about what's best for this football club and not what's best for me, so I've got nothing against this decision."
