The 29-year old scored his sixth goal of the campaign when coming on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend, and although naturally disappointed not to start the match he feels that competition within the squad can only make the team stronger than it is already.
"We have a big squad but only 11 can start a game, but competition for places will make the team even better. We know that we have a good squad and that we can play against the best and beat them. We've got to continue to do this throughout the season.
"You want to start every game but sometimes it's not possible. It's been a good season so far and we just have to continue."
