"He needed to play games and we thought Bolton was the right club for him because Sammy Lee and Frank McParland were there at the start of the season.

Only time will tell if Benitez will release Danny to play for the Whitemen permanently next season. The way he's going though, I doubt he'll be at the Reebok come the start of the 2008/09 campaign.
