Former Bolton Wanderers manager Bruce Rioch is rumoured to be on the shortlist to take over the vacant manager's chair at Leyton Orient to replace Paul Brush who was sacked last week.
The 56-year old former Scotland player managed the Wanderers between 1992 and 1995 taking them from Division 2 to the Premiership within that time as well as finishing runner up to Liverpool in the 1995 Coca Cola Cup Final winning many friends during his time in Lancashire. The summer of 1995 saw Rioch move to Arsenal but after a year he was sacked and replaced by Arsene Wenger despite the high profile signings of Dennis Bergkamp and David Platt and qualification for Europe.
Rioch has also managed Torquay United, Middlesbrough, Millwall, Norwich City and latterly Wigan Athletic who he left in 2001, he has coached at Queens Park Rangers and is currently working for the media as a radio pundit in Suffolk.
