Bolton Wanderers hopes of luring Brazilian World Cup winner Rivaldo to the Reebok Stadium appear to be fading after it was revealed that a number of agents are attempting the hijack the deal in an attempt to get a better deal.

Reports in the Independant newspaper claim that a number of London clubs were faxed yesterday by various agents claiming to work for the former Barcelona ace alerting them to the fact that the player hadn't showed up for talks in Bolton where he was expected to undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on a two year deal.

The former World and European player of the year has returned to Brazil to talk to his agent Carlos Arini today. Arini has told reporters that his client is still considering Bolton's offer.

"If he hasn't said 'No' yet, that's because he's seriously considering the offer. He's arriving on Wednesday morning, and then we will sit together and see what he wants to do. These kind of decisions are only for him to make. I have no influence on him over this, and we just do what he wants to do. Obviously he still feels an active player and wants to play," said Arini.
