Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has said that his ambition is to be the first manager in the club's history to acheive European Qualification and has said that he is unfazed by any pressure that it might bring.
Wanderers take on Aston Villa tonight in the first of two legs in the Carling Cup Semi Final and providing they get past the Midlanders they are set up with a real chance of playing in the UEFA Cup next season and Allardyce claims he would love to have that on his Managerial CV.
"If you win the Carling Cup it gets you into Europe and I would love to have that on my CV, I could cope with the pressures that brings. It is a problem I would love to have" he said
"I would be sensible enough to tell the board of directors what is needed. The pressure goes on them then whether to provide the funds needed to compete. If they do, we will go on and compete. If they don't, I will tell everyone we haven't got the squad to do it. That's just the way I am."
