Sam Allardyce has admitted that he is flattered at the club being banded around as possible suitors for former World Player of the Year Luis Figo - but has stressed that the Portuguese wizard is out of the clubs budget.
Figo is being tipped for a move to England or the Far-East after being told that he can leave Real Madrid, and given Allardyce's successes in bringing in the likes of Youri Djorkaeff, Jay-Jay Okocha, Ivan Campo and Fernando Hierro it was understandable that Bolton should be linked to the former Barcelona player.
But Allardyce told the official website that a deal isn't affordable as far as the Trotters are concerned:
"It's flattering to be linked with one of the world's greatest players. In all honesty, it would be very difficult to afford a player of Figo's calibre."
