Allardyce and his backroom team have already indicated that they would like to bring in a couple of new faces next month but the emphasis will be purely on agreements which are until the end of the season.
The Wanderers chief is ready to put his transfer plans to the club's board of directors in the coming days and says that the final say will be in their hands with regards to the financial implications.
"I am looking more short term than long term, between January and the end of season. We are ready to put forward to the chairman and the rest of the board what we propose.
"It will then be a decision for them to make on the financial side."
