Sam Allardyce has told Burnley that they have until the end of the week to decide if they are to sign Delroy Facey on a permanent basis and has told the Clarets they must pay a fee if they are to land the former Huddersfield striker on a permanent basis.
The 23-year old striker has scored five goals in a three month loan spell and the Burnley manager Stan Ternent has been impressed sufficiently to want to keep the Yorkshireman at Turf Moor on a permanent deal but his Bolton counterpart Allardyce has told the Clarets they must pay up for the player if they want to sign him.
"It's quite simple if Burnley want Delroy they are going to have to pay us a fee" Allardyce said
"We've helped Burnley out with Delroy, and Gareth Farrelly earlier on in the season, and now is the time to call Delroy back if they can't afford him. It's up to Stan Ternent to try and get his directors to release funds to sign the player" he added.
Allardyce also left the door open for Facey to return to the Reebok and said that despite healthy competition in the strikers department, he is still looking for a more prolific forward.
"My objective is to find a player who is going to become a prolific goalscorer and that could turn out to be a Mario Jardel, a Kevin Davies or even a Delroy Facey if he comes back with an appetite to break into the first team"
