Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Frank Stapleton has left his role as Bolton Wanderers strikers coach and is currently combining his media work for SKY television with some part time scouting around the North West of England.
The 48-year old joined Wanderers on a part time basis in October to help manager Sam Allardyce and his coaching staff, however after only six months in the job the former Republic of Ireland favourite has now decided to move onto pastures new.
Stapleton, who was a prolific scorer during his playing days with ten different clubs, had been tipped to take over as the Republic of Ireland manager before the appointment of Brian Kerr in 2002.
