Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stelios Giannakopoulos played a prominent part in Greece's 1-0 win over Armenia in the Euro 2004 qualifiers which will see his country finish in the top two places in group six following the win in Yerevan earlier today.
The 29-year old Wanderers winger was booked in the first half and substituted on the hour mark for his country but it still didnt stop him playing a part in the Greek's win which came courtesy of a goal from Perugia striker Zisis Vryzas, who was once a Bolton target.
Meanwhile Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen was on the substitutes bench as Finland defeated Azerbaijan 2-1 in their Euro 2004 qualifying game which saw Southampton's Antti Niemi return to the starting line up at the expense of the Wanderers man.
