Bolton Wanderers search for a striker has today thrown two extra names in the frame as the Trotters manager Sam Allardyce still searches for the 20 goal a season front man which has been a priority for him all summer.
Having already more or less secured the services of ex-Southampton star Kevin Davies, the Bolton manager is still keen to add one more face to his frontline to provide the goals, and he is rumoured to be interested in Olympiakos forward Lampros Choutos, a former teammate of newly signed Wanderer Stylianos Giannakopoulos.
Choutos is 23 years old and netted 13 times last season and is said to have caught the eye of Allardyce on a couple of scouting trips last season when the Bolton boss was also checking out Giannakopoulos.
Another name in the frame is Slovan Bratislava forward Robert Vittek, a prolific young centre forward who Birmingham City wanted to sign in the January transfer window. However as the Blues had blown their budget for January on other areas it meant any potential move for the 21-year old Slovakian would have to be put on hold. It seems now their initial interest has cooled prompting Wanderers to take a look at the youngster, the players scoring record is impressive and it could well be the Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce could offer the player a chance to sign in the clubs tour of Malta next week.
