Kevin Davies could be in line to make his return to the Bolton Wanderers team as they take on Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park this coming Monday evening.
Davies has struggled with a hamstring problem since the turn of the year but could be reinstated to the Wanderers side against a club who once paid a record £7 million for his services at the start of the 1999-2000 season.
The 27-year old has resumed training this week and will be looking to try and oust the in form El-Hadji Diouf from the main strikers role which he had so long occupied ever since moving from Southampton over a year ago.
Bolton assistant manager Phil Brown confirmed that the club will be monitoring the ex-Rovers forward closely ahead of the game to determine whether or not he will be ready for a first team return.
"The next couple of days are going to be a test for Kevin but he could possibly be available on Monday" said Brown
