Former Bolton Wanderers favourite Bob Taylor has signed for Cheltenham Town on a Free Transfer following his release by West Bromwich Albion over the summer.
The 36-year old who is affectionately known as "Super Bob" for his goalscoring exploits during his career, links up once more with Bobby Gould who was his manager during his days with the Albion in which he scored over 150 goals in two spells at the Hawthorns which made him a cult hero with the Baggies.
Taylor who has also played for Leeds United and Bristol City joined Bolton in 1998 from West Brom and his goal away at Manchester United in a 1-1 draw in February 1998 made him a popular figure amongst Bolton fans. He was top goalscorer for the club in the 1998-99 season but the following season he struggled with injury and was allowed to return to the Midlands with Gary Megson taking him back to the Albion and in 2003 he was granted a well deserved testimonial by Albion.
