"We're delighted with Matty. He's got great quality and he chips in with goals," said Megson.
"His set-piece deliveries are as good as anybody in the country and his statistics for work-rate are the highest at the football club week in, week out.
"When he first came, he concentrated solely on goalscoring and now once he has started to relax a little, he is starting to score goals.
"We've played Matty on the right-hand side and he looked just as dangerous cutting in on his left foot from there. It's nice that we have players who are comfortable in playing different positions and are versatile."
