The 22-year-old Hungarian is set for a run in the first team as first choice Jussi Jaaskelainen serves a three-match domestic ban.
Bogdan has become Jaaskelainen's understudy this season with Ali Al Habsi having joined Wigan on a one-year loan.
Coyle said: "I have tremendous belief in young Adam Bogdan, so much so that we allowed Ali to go on loan.
"We now have to develop Adam and give him an opportunity and Ali, who has been number two to Jussi for many years, has to go and play in the Barclays Premier League.
"It was always going to be a win-win situation. Ali would get that experience and Adam would create competition. We didn't want Jussi suspended but it will allow Adam the opportunity to show his qualities."
