Besiktas midfielder Ahmed Hassan has revealed to the Football Website Egyptianplayers.com that Bolton Wanderers have had a bid for his services rejected by his current club.
The 28-year old Egyptian joined Besiktas in the summer from Turkish rivals Genclerbirligi and has spent the majority of this season at the Inonu Stadium on the substitutes bench. However the player confirmed that despite the approach from Wanderers he will wait until the end of the season to make a decision on where his future lies with Rangers also said to be taking a particular interest in the player.
"I can reveal that just hours ago Besiktas received an official offer for me from Bolton Wanderers, the Premier League side, The Turkish side rejected the offer and my agent advised me to wait until the end of the season before deciding anything," Hassan said
Bolton manager Sam Allardyce is in the market for a midfielder during next months transfer window as he is looking to compensate for the loss of Jay-Jay Okocha during the forthcoming African Nations Cup, however the logic in the move for Hassan is a mystery as the player will also be on duty for Egypt in the same competition.
