Bolton were already a goal down when N'Gotty was sent off but battled back to save a point through Per Frandsen's late equaliser.
Allardyce added: "Life is very difficult for us at the moment but I thought we were magnificent after the sending-off.
"I thought our goal was only a matter of time but with such a small period left I wondered if it was going to come.

"The quality of our football ultimately told and made West Brom crack. I take it as a moral victory."
