Despite conceding defeat in his attempts to re-sign Youri Djorkaeff for the new season Bolton manager Sam Allardyce is still planning to add to the team with three new faces tipped to be arriving at the club by the end of the week.
The Trotters boss feels that at least four more faces will need to be added to the team to make it strong enough for the seasons opening fixtures in a few weeks time with a player in each quarter of the field top of Big Sam's wish list.
"By the end of the week we may have three new signings, I still think we need four more players to have an optimum squad and as in previous years we will probably have to wait until the end of August to finalise the final squad. We are still looking for another goalkeeper, a defender, midfielder and attacker" he said
A number of faces could fit the bill with trialists Tal Ben Haim, Julio Cesar and Fernando Hierro all tipped to move to the club on permanent deals whilst Blackburn Rovers striker Dwight Yorke, keeper Ian Bennett of Birmingham City and Mark Iuliano of Juventus have all been mentioned as possible targets over the weekend.
