Bolton Wanderers have denied reports that young striker Jonathan Walters has been recalled from a loan spell with Crewe Alexandra after reports earlier in the day had claimed the 19-year old Republic of Ireland U21 player was back at the Reebok Stadium.
The Wanderers have since confirmed that this is not the case and that the youngster will spend until the weekend at Gresty Road at the very least with an option to extend the initial month spell.
Walters was signed by Dario Gradi last month as striking cover for the likes of Dean Ashton and the initial report thought that following Delroy Facey's loan move to Burnley and the failed move for Sergei Rebrov meant that Walters could be recalled as Mario Jardel is not yet quite up to full fitness leaving Wanderers short on cover for Henrik Pedersen and Kevin Davies, however the player will remain at the Division 1 club for the time being.
