Bolton Wanderers reserves were still left searching for their first FA Premier Reserve League win of the season as they crashed 3-0 to Manchester United in Leyland last night.
Michael Bridges and Bedi Buval both had chances early on to score for Bolton whilst at the other end David Jones went close for United on a couple of occasions.
Five minutes before half time the Red Devils took the lead when striker Sylvain Ebanks-Blake fired a curling shot beyond Andy Oakes in the Wanderers goal but in all fairness the first half had been pretty evenly balanced.
The Trotters almost snatched an immediate response shortly after the interval when substitute James Sinclair was unlucky to see his attempt blocked by United's teenage goalkeeper Tom Heaton.
Former England youth player Chris Eagles doubled United's advantage with twenty minutes to go when he fired a wind assisted shot into the roof of the Bolton net and this practically spelt the end of the game for the home side who had seen their United counterparts step up a gear in the second period.
Ricardo Vaz-Te and Bridges once again could have reduced the defacit but a goal by Italian striker Guiseppe Rossi wrapped things up for the Reds Devils with just a few minutes to go.
