Bolton Wanderers Reserves claimed their first FA Premier Reserve League win of the season against Sunderland Reserves thanks to goals from Charlie Comyn-Platt and Mario Jardel to claim a 2-1 win.
The visitors took the lead on the quarter hour mark when on loan Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Alan Quinn drove a thirty yard drive past Jeremy Bon in the Wanderers goal to open the scoring.
However the Wanderers found themselves back in the game just over ten minutes later when on 27 minutes Glen Little, on loan from Burnley floated an inch perfect free kick into the box which was confidently headed home past Sunderland keeper Thomas Myhre by young defender Platt who opened his goalscoring account for the season.
Both Mario Jardel and Nicky Hunt had chances to increase the Wanderers lead but found former Everton keeper Myhre in fine form with the Norwegian stopping a number of chances to keep the Wearsiders in the game.
Jardel did however get himself on the scoresheet shortly before half time, a mazy run by Ibrahim Ba was met by Walters and despite Myhre's best attempts to save he couldn't keep out the rebound which was poked home by the Brazilian who has hit a rich vein of goalscoring form recently.
The visitors could have got back into the game if the woodwork hadn't of been on Bolton's side but a combination of good defending by the likes of Anthony Barness, Jeff Smith, Hunt and Platt as well as some good goalkeeping by Frenchman Bon meant the Wanderers held out for their first win of the season
