Bolton Wanderers reserves will be hoping to continue their recent good form as they take on Newcastle United reserves at the County Ground this evening.
The second string have won three of their last FA Premier Reserve League matches and will be hoping to add to that feat against the Magpies tonight.
Coach Neil McDonald will be pitting his wits against the club who gave him his first taste of league football 20 years ago. He will be hopeful that Portuguese teenager Ricardo Vaz-Te can produce a similar run of form which has seen him hit three goals in the last six matches.
Last season the two sides shared a win each in this competition as in September last year two Mario Jardel goals could not prevent the Wanderers losing 3-2 at the County Ground whilst in March of this year Guatemalan striker Dwight Pezzarossi was at the double to give the Wanderers a victory by the same scoreline at Whitley Bay with Vaz-Te getting the other goal.
