Bolton Wanderers reserves are in action this evening as they take on local rivals and league leaders Manchester City at the County Ground, Leyland.
It is the second time in a week that the second string have faced neighbouring opposition having held fellow Lancashire side Blackburn Rovers to a 1-1 draw last week at Christie Park.
Bolton reserve team boss Neil McDonald will be hoping that the team can keep up their impressive run of form which has seen them defeated just once since early September.
Experienced quartet Les Ferdinand, Blessing Kaku, Andy Oakes and Anthony Barness are all included alongside first team hopefuls Ricardo Vaz-Te, Ricky Shakes and Joey O'Brien
City's reserves are managed by the former Wanderers captain Asa Hartford and he has included the forward Bradley Wright-Phillips in his team. Bradley is the younger brother of England midfielder Shaun.
French duo Christian Negouai and David Sommeil are also included in the travelling party as they look to force their way back into first team contention.
Last season the Wanderers had little success against City as both games were to end 2-0 in favour of the Manchester club.
