Bolton Wanderers reserve team full back Rhys Powell has been called up to feature in three Wales squads at different levels for forthcoming matches.
The 16-year old made Welsh history over a month ago when he appeared alongside brother Liam in a European Youth Championship game against Switzerland, becoming the first set of brothers in over 30 years to do so and will now feature for the U17 side as captain for next months games in Turkey.
He has also been named in the U19 squad to take on Greece in a friendly in December as well as an imminent call up to the Welsh U21 side and its unique in the fact that he is representing three different levels in such a short space of time.
Powell who also had trials for Wales Rugby Union U15 side has made rapid progress at the club since his move from Leicester City over the summer and Academy director Chris Sulley is absolutely delighted for the youngster to be recieving recognition.
"It's very pleasing to hear, he's made a steady start to his career with the academy and he'll be getting plenty of experience with international football.
"He's made a few appearances for the reserves this season and these international call ups will enhance his development as a footballer" Sulley commented.
