Bolton Wanderers Youth Academy where knocked out of the FA Youth Cup last night as they went down 1-0 to Norwich City at Carrow Road with the goal coming on 75 minutes from Canaries striker Ryan Jarvis.
Wanderers had the majority of the chances but could not convert their dominence into goals. French midfielder Bedi Buval and former England youth player Michael Gillan both had chances in the first half to put the Trotters in front.
Bolton-born keeper Chris Howarth then produced a string of fine saves for the Wanderers to stop the hosts from taking the lead in what was a very evenly matched second half but a defensive lapse with a quarter of an hour remaining sent the Norfolk side through to the next round. Howell combined well with Jarvis and the latter swept his shot past the advancing Howarth
Wanderers could have got the equaliser in injury time but defender Bradley Hill saw his effort cleared off the line as the remaining seconds ticked away.
